“Le 4 di notte” (Himalaya Dischi/Artist First) è un viaggio dentro la città che dorme, tra le ombre che abitano la notte, quando ogni cosa si rivela per quello che è permettendoci di intravedere una scintilla di verità̀. Di questo parla il nuovo singolo del cantautore romano Montone, fruibile su tutte le piattaforme digitali, streaming e download da oggi, venerdì 5 novembre.
La canzone nasce al pianoforte, già̀ con l’idea di una cassa-in-4, stile disco, che comunque rimane sempre in secondo piano, lasciando spazio a un tappeto di suoni elettronici e voci riverberate che creano un’atmosfera estremamente rarefatta e surreale.
«”Le 4 di notte” è il primo singolo che anticipa il mio nuovo album in uscita nel 2022 – racconta Montone – sarà il primo disco di cui sono anche produttore e in cui penso di aver definito un sound nuovo e personale, che va dalla musica elettronica internazionale alla tradizione cantautorale italiana, passando per il pop e l’hip hop».
Ad accompagnare il brano un video che racconta la storia d’amore tra un uomo e una prostituta. Sullo sfondo una Roma notturna che sembra essere rimasta agli anni ‘90, tra strade desolate di periferia e reti ferroviarie. I personaggi del video sembrano inghiottiti dalla notte e, anche quando emergono in primo piano, concettualmente restano sempre sullo sfondo: la città con le sue ombre e le sue infinite sfumature domina sempre la scena, diventando la vera protagonista.
Montone è il nome d’arte di Ferdinando Montone, musicista e autore che ha militato in tantissime band prima di iniziare a scrivere le sue canzoni in italiano nel 2017 e pubblicare nel 2019 il suo primo disco dal titolo “Slalom”. Vince il concorso per emergenti della rivista Classic Rock, che gli permette di esibirsi al Mei di Faenza. A novembre dello stesso anno è ospite della trasmissione televisiva Stracult, in onda su Rai2 con il suo singolo “Drink Tropicale”. Durante il lockdown studia da producer e fonda l’etichetta Himalaya Dischi, iniziando a collaborare e produrre artisti della scena emergente romana. Il 5 novembre 2021 esce “Le 4 di notte”, il suo nuovo singolo.
