Il rapper classe ’98, dopo le ultime uscite firmate da Wairaki, collabora col producer Richard Church per dar vita ad un singolo che, a dispetto del titolo, non ambisce ad essere un banger distruttivo, ma un connubio bilanciato tra rap e melodia. La produzione, costruita su un delicato giro di pianoforte, è infatti il tappeto sonoro perfetto per le riflessioni di westcross. “Gang Signs” è un manifesto della genuinità della sua musica, che rappresenta la sua realtà già con uno sguardo, l’equivalente di ciò che i gang signs rappresentano oltreoceano: una rivendicazione di appartenenza.

Dario Khaleghpour, in arte westcross, nasce nel 1998 a Padova, da madre palestinese e padre iraniano. Fin da bambino entra a contatto con un ambiente molto artistico e trova nella musica la sua valvola di sfogo. Nei suoi brani unisce un sound fresco alle sue esperienze di vita, quelle di un ragazzo di seconda generazione cresciuto nel nord-est padovano.
